Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) is a jazz collective that performs retro revival renditions of modern music’s biggest hits. Some of the group’s most iconic covers include “Closer” from The Chainsmokers and Halsey, “Creep” from Radiohead, “Don’t Speak” from No Doubt, and many more. The group, led by pianist and arranger Scott Bradlee, spent its early days recording their performances in Bradlee’s home and uploading them on Youtube. The arrangements turn these modern contemporary singles into vintage-style music, such as old-school jazz, swing, and Motown, among others. The group has been joined by 70 talented performers from all over the world. PMJ has also featured guest musicians, including American Idol alums, Broadway star Shoshana Bean, The Rembrandts, and more.
After a touring hiatus during the pandemic, Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox went all out this 2022 for the Grand Reopening Tour. In his statement, he said, “I’m grateful to be able to create and collaborate with so many talented people, and playing live to a theater full of music fans is something that we’ve all really missed.
Bradlee added that they are “fortunate to have so many incredible fans worldwide, enabling the group to become a global touring act.” Moreover, Bradlee explained that the Grand Reopening Tour is also a grand reunion, not just for their talented cast but also for their fans.
